The Days of our Lives

Monday – “Moan” Day
There isn’t a person alive (or dead…for obvious reasons) who jumps out of bed on Monday morning with joy coursing through their veins. Those who do…are quickly restrained by the mental health nurses who have been assigned to watch over them.

Tuesday – Make up for Monday Day
Tuesday is a day of frenetic activity, with the work of two days needing to get done in one…mainly because most people spent Monday moping, dragging their feet and cursing its very existence.

Wednesday – Phonics Appreciation Day
“How do you spell, Wednesday?”
“Just the way it sounds.”

Thursday – Five Stages of Grief Day
1. Denial: “It’s Friday!”
2. Anger/Blame: “What?! Stupid Thursday pretending to be Friday! I oughta…”
3. Bargaining: “Can I have tomorrow off?”
4. Depression: “Another day…another dollar…minus 50% in taxes…”
5. Acceptance: “Might as well accomplish something. Who wants to sit on the photocopier?”

Friday – The Lord’s Day
According to the Scriptures, Sunday is “The Lord’s Day”. However, Friday should be the bearer of such a title because it is clearly the most spiritually unifying day of the entire week. Even the Athiest thanks God for its arrival.

Saturday – Half Day
“Oh, it’s 3:00pm…I guess I should get up. Well…maybe 15 more minutes.”

Sunday – Preparation Day
Some people go to Church. Some people watch football. But everyone is trying to spiritually, emotionally & mentally prepare themselves for…Moan Day.

Have a good one,
Timmy

  2. D.L. It all started with "Moan" Day...then it progressed all willy nilly from there. I think "Five Stages" was actually near the end of the process, but it is one of my favs as well. Thanks.

  3. I'm all about Tuesdays... especially when using the word frenetic to describe them. Even saying it puts lighter fluid to the fire. FRENETIC. Bam, I'm off...

And then I made it to the "Reactions" and (almost) LOLed. But thankfully I was able to control myself and get back to the Moan-day/Tuesday tasks at hand.
